Sarver, PA…. The 2009 season that began seven months ago on March 28, 2009 came to an end for the Dunn-OIivieri Race team on October 25, 2009 at Lernerville Speedway. Racing at the track closest to his home town of Fennelton, PA, Dunn wanted to end the season a a positive note. Driving one of 222 Clinger cars, Dunn finished third in his heat race and would start 8th in the 25 lap feature.
A starting field of 25 cars would take the green flag and saw Dunn, beginning to work his way through the field during the first five laps of the race. Around lap seven the cars handling seemed to away and on lap ten Dunn brought out the first caution of the event as he came to a stop on the track with a rear suspension problem. A quick check in the pit confirmed the problem and Dunn was forced to retire for the evening and finished a disappointing 24th.
