2009 will be an interesting one for Russ Dunn. The Fenelton, PA driving will be driving one of 222 Crocket Race Cars built and owned by Jim Clinger. Russ will be sharing the cars with late model drivers “Hollywood” Mike Knight and Rich Gardner. The Crocket Chassis is becoming a popular one with top area E-Mod drivers Dave Hess,Jr Rich Michaels, John Boyd and Justin Carlson.
Dunn’s maiden voyage for team 222 came in the season opener for the in the UEMS www.unitedlatemodelseries.com at Mercer Raceway Park on March 28th. Dunn was impressive with a second place finish in the heat race and a fifth place finish in the 25 lap feature. Dunn stated” I have known Jim for many years and the opportunity to drive one of his cars will give me more seat time and hopefully a visit to Victory Lane for the 222 Race Team”
